Throw Back

As we emerge from the pandemic we have been digging through our project archive, reflecting on past productions as we look forward to creating new experiences for live audiences once again.

Fall Away Home

[Boca del Lupo] is one-upping itself with Fall Away Home, a show that melds all the large-scale outdoor spectacle of its previous creations with the projection technology of its smaller, indoor works

In the summer of 2013, Celebrate! Stanley Park presented Boca del Lupo and the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts’ production of Fall Away Home, a modern fairy tale about a young girl who, in an effort to help others, falls down a hole and finds herself falling all the way through the planet.

Created in the tradition of Boca del Lupo’s much lauded and beloved free, outdoor, all-ages spectaculars, Fall Away Home took place as part of Stanley Park’s 125th Anniversary Celebrations in Stanley Park.

As our heroine emerges into the fantastical realm of her own imagination, she embarks on a journey to find her way home. Fall Away Home explores the world of children who are not entirely in control of their own lives and destiny. A mash-up of live action, animation, and audience participation, this unique production incorporates Boca del Lupo’s signature use of technology, acrobatics, and theatre craft to create a show that is as much an experience as it is a performance.
